A World First: LongiOro Bottle 001 and the Future of Provenance

In the ancient olive groves of Contrada Gorna, nestled in the hills above Castell'Umberto in Sicily, something extraordinary is about to happen. This December 2026, the olives of Oliveto Letizia will be harvested and cold-pressed for the very first time under the LongiOro name — the beginning of what we believe will be a remarkable story.

But even before the first drop has been pressed, Bottle 001 of LongiOro's Prima Raccolta – Founding Vintage 2026 has already made history.

It became the world's first bottle of olive oil to be tokenised on the XRP Ledger. A Certificate of Authenticity has been issued on-chain, permanently and immutably recording its provenance — and the bottle was purchased using XRP, a first for the olive oil world.

For centuries, provenance in food has relied on paper, trust, and reputation. LongiOro is changing that. Every bottle in the Prima Raccolta edition will carry a unique digital certificate, verifiable by anyone, anywhere, at any time — simply by scanning the QR code on the bottle. The certificate lives on the blockchain, beyond the reach of forgery or dispute.

This is more than a bottle of olive oil. It is a statement about where food authenticity is heading — transparent, traceable, and tamper-proof. Pre-orders are open now for those who want to be part of this founding vintage, with bottles shipping after the December 2026 harvest.

Bottle 001 has been claimed. Will yours be next?
