Waterless Technology
Most skincare is 60–80% water. Water dilutes active compounds and demands preservatives to remain stable. LongiOro skincare contains no water. The base is single-estate EVOO — oxidatively stable, compatible with the skin’s natural lipid matrix, and rich in the compounds that make these cultivars exceptional. Higher active-compound load per gram. Nothing added that doesn’t need to be there.
All Natural Skincare
Every ingredient in LONGIORO skincare comes from the grove. No synthetic emulsifiers. No preservative systems. No fillers. The EVOO is the base, the active, and the carrier — all in one. What you apply to your skin is, in its entirety, from Oliveto Letizia.
The Minuta Cultivar
Minuta is the heart of Oliveto Letizia — a hundred-year-old grove on the northern slopes of the Nebrodi Mountains. Cold-extracted and finely filtered, Minuta oil is exceptionally rich in polyphenols, with a depth of character shaped by altitude, season, and age. Studies have identified anti-inflammatory properties in high-polyphenol Sicilian EVOO, consistent with the phenolic activity observed in Minuta. It absorbs readily, leaves no residue, and carries the full provenance of the grove.
What’s in the Oil
Oleic Acid (C18:1)
Mirrors the dominant lipid in the human stratum corneum, facilitating barrier integration and transdermal permeation.
Squalene
A natural component of human sebum, declining with age. Replenishes this loss and protects skin lipids from UV-induced peroxidation.
Tocopherols (Vitamin E)
Lipid-soluble antioxidants neutralising reactive oxygen species from UV and pollution. Protect the skin’s lipid barrier from oxidative degradation.
Polyphenols
The compound that gives Minuta its character — and the skin its benefit. Research points to anti-inflammatory activity in high-polyphenol Sicilian EVOO, alongside the cytoprotective effects documented in high-polyphenol olive oils more broadly. Applied to skin, these compounds work at the level of the lipid barrier — where inflammation typically begins.
